Dear friends,

I have finished my 9 grade in a school in USA and have moved to India with my family. I am planning to be a private candidate for this year -grade 10 and take six subjects - English as a second language, Hindi as a second language, Combined Sciences, world History, Economics, Mathematics extended.

1.I would like to know from seniors if the subject selection is good and if I should take one more subject so I can get the ICE certification. What is the advantage of having it?

2. Kindly suggest if there are any e-books available.

3. I am finding it difficult to find the right book for Hindi. Is there a Cambridge endorses book at all?

I can provide you with a really helpful book regarding English as a second language but due to its size, email is the best option to transfer it.

Fear not! there are many sites for free e-books, but gceguide.xyz is what I found to be best. It has a vast collection of past-papers and e-books as well. Some of the books are of the previous versions, but something is better than nothing, no?
Please do go for the ICE certification, if you have any doubts regarding that, private chat is the best way to do it.
Umm, I have taken French Foreign Language over Hindi, coz I wanted to learn something new. Therefore, I fear I can't help you with that!

Which syllabus code r u using btw .... I am using French 3014 :)

For me in paper 1 I hav an essay n a passage 2 translate n in paper 2 I hav 2 passages :)

Yes ma'am, but I do believe I stressed on the issue of the textbooks being of the previous versions :). I am still searching for a good site with the latest versions of textbooks of all subjects. I must say, it is a wild hunt to be honest. I will strive to notify you as soon as I find such a site, and make a new thread just for it. Sorry if you were disappointed!

Cool! I guess you are taking native French then? I'm getting better at it by the passing second, I think. The concepts are clicking right into place, n'est-ce pas?

I don't know abt the native one...... I only know dat I do French syllabus 0520.... Wbu ... u haven't told me how ur paper is ....
