Can anybody help me with this??? Is it even possible to do this...




The engine of a car generates a power of 35 kW at a maximum speed of 144 km h-1. Calculate the force acting against the motion of the car at this speed.

It will be quite easy if you apply the formula [power = force × speed].
In the question the power is given as 35kW, or 35000W; the speed 144 km/h, or 40 m/s.
The car is travelling in maximum speed, this means the speed is constant. Force acting against the car should be equal to that driving the car, which is:
35000W ÷ 40m/s = 875 N
