FSc privately disadvantages

Hello, a friend of mine, who is in science group, has mistakenly missed the form registration date on FSc and is now in trouble. She's looking for a way to now register as a private candidate for FSc.

What I want to ask is that, are there any disadvantages in doing FSc privately? Other than that, what's her best option now? To do privately or to try again next year?
