Hello,

I will sitting for my Chemistry practical 35 on the 25th of October.

Maximum error of burette would be appreciated, as well as titration calculation (I usually just get first three calculations correct :p)

Also how am I to identify the gases produced even before doing the practicals?

Thanks for your help, may god bless us all in our endeavours.

P/S I have checked the notes http://www.xtremepapers.com/community/threads/tips-for-chemistry-practicals-p3.11810/
however I still need further clarifications and help regarding the concerns mentioned above.

Thanks once again!

maximum error in a single burett reading is 0.05 where as the overall max error is 0.05*2=0.1 since burettes are read twice
As for the gases ammonia turns red litmus blue plus it has a pungent smell
CO2 and SO2 turns blue litmus paper red,CO2turns lime water milky
NO2 turns brown when in contact with air so if produced the sides of the test tube will turn slightly brown
O2 if produced will relight a glowing matchstick
